Press Your Luck is a trivia game based on the famous TV show of the 80's in which you must answer questions in order to win spins. After a round of questions, you use your spins to participate in a board full of prizes. But you have to be careful, since the board is also crowded with Whammies, creatures who steal your money.
The game offers two modes: single player and party mode, which you can play with one or two friends. If you choose single player, you play with two computer players, each of whom specializes in a certain topic. There are 20 shows in total to play, but they are unlocked as you progress in the game.
The main topic of the questions is famous TV shows and films. There are two rounds of questions and the one who finishes the game with the higher amount of money wins. If you know the answer, you can press the button to answer first. However, if you don't know the answer you can guess or copy the answers of your partners (I myself would prefer to not see their answers, because in a way you feel influenced by them).
The game is enjoyable and is very well animated. You can choose an avatar and as you progress in the game, you win clothes, shoes, and other accessories to customize your character the way you want. The graphics are excellent, as well as the sound effects and music. All in all, Press Your Luck is the perfect game to have a good time with friends, but I think the single mode can get boring after a certain time. However, you can play it for practice to beat your fiends afterwards. |
